MRF + Transfer Stations

DASMA own and operate a regional Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) at Morwell with the capacity to accept and sort recyclable materials. DASMA manage the South Gippsland Shire Transfer Stations (6 No) collect, sorts and recycles hard waste and waste for landfill.

What is a MRF?

A MRF is a facility that receives commingled materials and then uses a combination of equipment and manual labor to separate and densify materials in preparation for shipment downstream to recyclers of the particular materials recovered.
